Build Your Own Prosecco Station

If you’re planning a wedding and haven’t yet stumbled across the bubbly-wonder that is a ‘Pimp Your Prosecco’ station, then brace yourself…your wedding is about to be rocked. From your engagement party to the big day itself, this fun and fabulous feature is a wedding must-have. Give your guests the option of creating their own fizz cocktail with a drink station that’s as pretty as it is delicious.

Now we’ve sold you on it, how exactly do you pimp out your Prosecco? On the one hand, there are many suppliers out there who can take care of this for you. From renting out a drinks station, to asking a wedding planner or stylist to source one for you, you’ll barely have to lift a finger. There again, this gorgeous feature is easy enough to put together yourself. We’ve done a little hunting and have found you can purchase all the components you need without breaking the bank. Plus, you’ll be able to bring them back out at parties for years to come!

This task is also a great one to delegate to your bridesmaids or groomsmen, so why not forward on this link and let them do the hard work for you? 😉

So, where to begin?

Firstly, you’ll need a drinks trolley…

We’ve found one we absolutely adore at Dunelm. Beautiful for both your wedding day and as a stylish addition to your home, afterwards!

If you’re not sure about a whole drinks trolley, you can easily do smaller version with a pretty drinks tray, like this one from John Lewis.

Now you’ve got your station, it’s time to fill it.

Of course, you’ll need plenty of Prosecco, and some pretty glasses to serve it in. We love vintage-style champagne saucers, or flutes with a flair, like these gold-rimmed ones.

Next you’ll need to a variety of serving vessels to load up with fruit, cordials and liqueurs. It’s these delightful treats that guests will be using to pimp their Prosecco. We suggest serving a mixture of summer berries, along with some elderflower cordial, Aperol, and Chambord so your loved ones can create something individual to their taste.

Perhaps something like this set of Sundae dishes or classic Kilner glass bottles

Lastly, it’s those finishing touches that really complete the look.

Label up the bottles and vessels with little tags, so that guests know what each of the mixers are. Make  a ‘Pimp Your Prosecco’ sign either by printing and framing some typography in a lovely frame, or writing up something bigger and bolder on a chalkboard. If you’re not sure about doing the calligraphy yourself, have a search on Toast to find a supplier who can whip something up for you!

For the final finishing flourish, decorate your drinks station with fresh flowers and candles…and there you have it! A fabulous way to serve up refreshments. We promise your guests will love it.
